4th/5th grade teacher
I attended Nacogdoches High School and graduated in 1997. I then went to SFASU and decided to persue a career in teaching. I graduated from SFASU in 2001 with a BS in Interdisciplinary studies with a major in Reading/ELA.
I am currently a member of the Texas Regional Collaborative for Math. This is a high intensity professional development with mentor opportunities to help students better master the TEKS(Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills). This approach to math will provide students with meaningful math experiences.
I am married to Joe Tarrant and we have 2 growing boys, Bronson(11) and Slade(8). Both boys are attending Wells this year.
I enjoy teaching kids and watching them learn new things. It seems that they teach me just as much as I teach them. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, holiday decorating, and taking much needed NAPS.
