Wells Lady Pirates defeated the Goodrich Hornets on Friday night
when they won their Area game by one point in the last few seconds of play.
The final score was 59 to 58. The girls will play their Semi-state,
Semi-final game vs. the Fayetteville Lady Lions at A & M Consolidated
High School in College Station, on Tuesday Feb.18th. Tipoff is at
7:00 PM in their smaller gym. Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for
students.

in the last few minutes of the game. The girls fought back from an
8 point deficit and with 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter, the Lady Pirates
were down by just 2 points. In the last few seconds, a layup by Shaynna
tied the score and put the game into overtime.
The buzzer ends the game with the score 59 to 58 in Wells' favor.
