Kindergarten and First Grade Students Celebrate the 100th Day of School
Kindergarten and first graders marked the 100th day of school on January 23rd.  To celebrate the event, they danced, hopped and did jumping jacks for 100 seconds, wrote stories about what they'd be like when they are 100 years old, nibbled on 100 goldfish crackers or other snacks, and watched the video, 101 Dalmations.  They also wrote 100 words in their journals, counted from 1 to 100, decorated the hallway with 100 handprints, and measured 100 steps.  One of the day's highlights was their "oldest person" interviews, for which students had to interview the oldest person they knew.

Mrs. Dowling's kindergarten class enjoyed all their 100-day activities.

Mrs. McKnight's first graders point out the stories they wrote, describing what they would be like as 100-year olds.  Some of the stories are below.

"When I'm 100 years old I will be grumpy.  I will watch tv.  I will have 100 grandkids.  I will have wrinkls.  I will have false teeth.  I will be in a will chair."

"When I'm 100 years old I will play ches.  I will live in Dallas.  I will have 3 grandchildren and 5 great grand children.  I will have white short hair.  I wll have wrinkles too.  I will have a cane and I will pop people on the head if I have to."
